GENREAL PRICE LIST - EFFECTIVE: JANUARY 1, 2010 The goods and services shown are those we can provide to our customers and you may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. During the initial funeral arrangement conference we will discuss payment options. Funeral accounts are to be paid in full at the time of the arrangement conference. Accounts paid by insurance assignment or credit card are subject to a 2.5% service charge. All accounts not paid in full at the time of the arrangement conference will be subject to 5% surcharge and an interest at the rate of 18.9% annum. Due to the complexity and time involved we are unable to accept promissory payments from estates. We accept payments in the form of cash, check, credit card, pre-paid funeral trust or life insurance assignment. Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home invites those who are comparing costs of funeral goods and services. However, great care must be taken when comparing costs. At first glance a competing funeral home may appear to be less expensive because their service charge or the charges for the burial and/or cremation merchandise they provide may be less expensive. When comparing the total price of identical services and merchandise, you will find that Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home offers the best value in the area. We believe we provide superior personal service along with quality merchandise at reasonable prices and openly distribute our prices for the goods and services we provide. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Basic Services of Funeral Director - $1680.00 Our services include: conducting the arrangements conference; planning the funeral; consulting with family and clergy; shelter of remains; preparing and filing of necessary notices; obtaining necessary authorizations and permits; coordinating with the cemetery, crematory, or other third parties. In addition, this fee includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs. Embalming (when required by law or requested by family) - $675.00 Except in certain cases embalming is not required by federal or state law. However, embalming may be necessary if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. Unless necessitated by law you have the right to choose arrangements that do not require you to pay for embalming, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. Traditional Cremation Memorial Service with Visitation - $4,160.00 This service includes; Basic Services of Funeral Director, Embalming, Other Preparation of Remains, Private Family Viewing at Funeral Home, Memorial Service, Visitation prior to Memorial Service, Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, Utility/Service Vehicle, Flower Vehicle, Transportation to/from Crematory. Traditional Funeral Service with Visitation Prior to Service - $4,425.00 This service includes; Basic Services of Funeral Director, Embalming, Other Preparation of Remains, Private Family Viewing at Funeral Home, Funeral Service, Visitation prior to Funeral Service, Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, Utility/Service Vehicle, Lead/Clergy Vehicle, Hearse, Flower Vehicle, and Graveside Service. Traditional Funeral Service with Evening Visitation - $4,560.00 This service includes; Basic Services of Funeral Director, Embalming, Other Preparation of Remains, Private Family Viewing at Funeral Home, Funeral Service, Evening Visitation, Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home, Utility/Service Vehicle, Lead/Clergy Vehicle, Hearse, Flower Vehicle, and Graveside Service. Forwarding of Remains to another Funeral Home - $2,825.00 Our charge includes: basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; utility vehicle, embalming of remains.
Receiving Remains from Another Funeral Home - $1,910.00 Our charge includes: basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; local transportation of remains to funeral home and to cemetery or crematory.
DIRECT CREMATION Direct Cremation - $2,615.00 to $3,515.00 Our chaarge for cremation (without ceremony) includes: basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; preparation of remains and identification viewing; utility vehicle, and transportation to a local crematory. It does not include crematory or permit fees. If you wish to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are a fiberboard container or an unfinished wood box. Direct cremation, container provided by the purchaser - $2,615.00 Direct cremation, using alternative container - $2,740.00 Direct cremation, using standard container - $3,000.00 Direct cremation, using cloth covered cremation casket - $3,515.00 Immediate Burial - $2,615.00 to $3,647.00 Our charge for an immediate burial (without ceremony) includes: basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; removal of remains; preparation of remains and identification viewing; utility vehicle, and transportation to a local cemetery.
