Raymond Joseph Ruppert, 79, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died, Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his home in Beloit.
Raymond was born on May 16, 1930 in Reserve, Wisconsin, the son of Theodore and Lucy (Battees) Ruppert. He graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1949 and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Raymond married the former Betty Laird on May 15, 1965 in Rockton, Illinois. He was employed for many years as a computer programmer for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the Janesville School District. Raymond was a member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Indian Tribe. He enjoyed going to casino’s and fishing.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Betty, son, Mark Ruppert of Wausau, Wisconsin, two brothers, George Ruppert of Springstead, Wisconsin, and Gordon Ruppert of Brodhead, Wisconsin, father-in-law, Duane Van Kuren of Hanover, Wisconsin, two uncles, Monte and Doug Ruppert, both of Superior, Wisconsin, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
