Biography

Shirley A. "Fluffy" Armstrong, 69, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died, Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit.

The former Shirley Ann Fry was born, February 11, 1940 in Beloit, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Margaret (Bird) Fry. She attended schools while living in Minnesota. Shirley was employed at Freeman Shoe Factory in Beloit, and at Clean Sweep Cleaning Services in Beloit for many years.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sherrie (Peter) Rindy, two sons, Mitch Fry, and John Hebert, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister, Sharon Lounsbury, niece, Shelly Martin, and nephew, Tim (Judy) Strait. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister, Mae Donehue, and nephew, Jimmy Strait.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home 424 Prospect Street, Beloit, WI 53511 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Committal at Pinnacle Hill Cemetery in Rural Roscoe Township will follow the service.
