Life Legacy
Grace L. Brown, 94, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died, Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Janesville, Wisconsin.
The former Grace Louella McBain was born on March 22, 1915 in Hazelcrest, Illinois the daughter of Louis and Stella (Hunt) McBain. Grace married Roy Josiah Brown in 1930 in Valpraso, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1958.
Grace was the last of thirteen children in her family. She enjoyed reading, canning, sewing, and taking bus trips with her friend Louise Clary. Grace was a true farm girl, who would and could do anything. She spent many years cleaning at Voigt Music Center in Beloit.
Grace is survived by four daughters, Barb (Herb) Lukas, Loretta Warriner, Nancy Olson, and Vicki (Seitz) Dencker, all of Beloit, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sons, twelve sisters and brothers, and a grandson.
Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home in Beloit. Inurnment will take place in Eastlawn Cemetery at a later date.
