Naoma E. Hansberry, of Port Hadlock, Washington, formerly of South Beloit, Illinois, died, Thursday, June 10, 2010 at her home in Port Hadlock.

The former Naoma Eileen Osborne was born on March 26, 1927 in Richland Center, Wisconsin the daughter of George and Mary (Williams) Osborne. She married Robert Emmett Hansberry on April 14, 1947 in South Beloit, Illinois, he preceded her in death on December 8, 1998.

Naoma and Robert lived in South Beloit for many years, raising their two children while Bob built their excavating business. She and Bob moved to Washington State more twenty years ago so they could be closer to their children. Naoma loved gardening and painting. She was a member of The Old Time Fiddlers and attended as many fiddler events as she could where she was always making new friends.

Naoma is survived by her daughter, Mary (Mike Miller) Hansberry, son George Hansberry, four grandchildren, Katie Hansberry, Ryan Hansberry, Stevie Hansberry, and Joshua Hansberry and a great-grandson, Talon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bearnice Ortego.

Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home in Beloit. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
