James “Boat” Debuque, 55 of Beloit, Wisconsin, died, Monday, June 21, 2010 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
James Douglas Debuque was born on April 5, 1955 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin the son of Glen and Carol (Gunderson) Debuque. Jimmy lived most of his life in Beloit graduating from Beloit Memorial High School in 1973. He attended UW-Parkside in Kenosha, WI and UW Stout in Menomonie, WI. Jimmy worked as a waiter for many years at various local restaurants including, The Manor in Beloit, Holiday Inn, and Maxx's Restaurant, both in South Beloit, IL. He enjoyed watching movies and television, and reading books, especially those written by MC Beaton.
Jimmy is survived by his four siblings, Timothy "Mitch" McMillan of Beloit, Jean (Sue Denio) Turner of Janesville, WI, Tom (Becky) Debuque, and Joseph Mark (Tina Parrish) Debuque, both of Beloit, special friend and companion, Ardie Byrd, Jr. of Beloit, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home in Beloit. Memorial services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beloit.
