Biography

Scott Schwichtenberg of Orfordville, Wisconsin, formerly of Janesville, Wisconsin, was called home by our Heavenly Father on July 3, 2009. He bravely fought illness for many years.

He was born March 5, 1955 in Jacksonville, Florida he son of Elmer Albert and Dorothy Rose (Hammarlund) Schwichtenberg. Scott served in the United States Navy from March 15, 1974 to March 14, 1978. He married the former Carol Cox on November 29, 1986 in Beloit, Wisconsin. Scott worked for over twenty years at Beloit Corporation, then briefly for Trek Bicycle and Alcoa Aluminum before becoming disabled with Wegeners Granulomatosis in 2001. Scott was a member of the Beloit Dartball League, and BTW (Brothers of the Third Wheel Trike Club.

Scott is survived by his wife, Carol, son, Naethen (Kara) Schwichtenberg, two daughters, Amanda (Matt) Baker, and Holly Schwichtenberg all of Janesville, Wisconsin, two sisters, Jan (Steve) Bush of Cary, Illinois, and Mary (Andy) McGrath of Janesville, Wisconsin, close friends, Keith and Bonnie Arnson of Janesville, and a granddaughter, Tajah Schwichtenberg of Janesville.

Visitation is from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home in Beloit. The West-Field Post 48 American Legion will provide military honors at 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by a memorial service, officiated by David Meding of Central Christian Church in Beloit.
